Q: Why use one of our calendar apps?

The sole function of our apps is to add important events to your native iPhone Calendar. Our apps integrate the dates and times into your calendar, between your other appointments.

Advantages:
★ No need to launch a separate app every time you want to know when an event occurs. All you have to do is check your calendar
★ All events are listed between your other appointments, ideal for planning your daily schedule around important events
★ Events will show up in your local timezone
★ Events are updated when they change which results in an automatic update of these events in your calendar

Q: Are there additional costs involved because I see the word ‘Subscribe’?

NO, the word ‘Subscribe’ has nothing to do with extra costs but refers to the fact that changes will be updated in your calendar.

Q: Nothing happens after I click the ‘Add to calendar’ button?

When you click the ‘Add to calendar’ button within a few seconds a subscribe window should appear. If this doesn’t happen, check the following things:

★ Do you have OS3 or iOS4?
★ Did you have an internet connection the moment you pushed the ‘Add to calendar’ button?
★ After you pushed the ‘Add to calendar’ button, did you see the text ‘one moment please’ for a brief second? And after that, did you see the text in the button change to ‘Add to calendar’ again?

If you answered the above questions with YES unfortunately it didn’t work right away for whatever reason but you should be fine in the end. We advise you to click the button again (maybe a few times) or even delete and reinstall the app because it should work on your phone!

If you have tried it a couple of times and the events are still not added to your calendar, please contact us so we can help you out.

Q: Can I sync this calendar with my Mac or PC?

Unfortunately it’s not to possible to sync subscribed calendars from your iPhone to your Mac or PC (even with MobileMe). We hope that this will change in the nearby future.

Q: My personal events are missing after using the app?

The chances are that you clicked ‘View events’ after you subscribed to a calendar. This ensures that only this calendar is checked in your list of calendars. Click ‘Calendars’ in the left top corner to see the complete list of calendars and check the ones you also want to view.

Q: All events show the wrong times?

Please check if iPhone Calendar is set to the correct timezone. The iPhone has a regular date & time setting but also one which is responsible for the correct displaying of date & time in your (subscribed) calendars. You can change these last settings under ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Calendars > Time Zone Support’.

Q: My events are not updated right away?

Events will be changed when changes come available to us. However data sources are not always in sync so it’s possible that you see changes sometimes earlier elsewhere than in your calendar. We guarantee though that changes are always made the minute we receive them. Of course we always try to be the first!

Q: I want to delete the calendar?

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select the calendar you want to delete under ‘Accounts’ in OS 3 or under ‘Accounts > Subcribed Calendars’ in iOS 4 and click ‘Delete Account’ to unsubscribe from this calendar.

Q: I want to change the update settings of my calendar?

With this app you subscribe to a public calendar. This means that everytime the calendar is updated, the content changes which results in an update of the calendar in your agenda. To ensure that your calendar is updated, go to ‘Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts’. Select the ‘Fetch New Data’ option. On the next screen, change ‘Push’ to ‘ON’. New data will be automatically added to your calendar. You can also configure your interval updates manually under ‘Fetch’.

Q: I want to delete old events?

You can’t delete events from calendars to which you’re subscribed. This is because you’re not the ‘owner’ of the data which means that you’re not responsible for the correctness of the events. However, you can set how far back you want to sync events in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Calendars – Sync. You can choose between All events, Events 2 weeks back and a few options in between.
